Thanks to the lovely Ms. Monica Danna I am now trying to learn to knit better. Why? Because I could turn a photo of my dog into an embarrassing sweater for my husband to wear. Awesome.

Check it how at Microrevolt!

Beethoven Amigurumi and Linky Blog Stuff

Posted by Sarah on Aug 20, 2008

I ran across this post on the Craft Zine blog and was totally excited because we are having our very own Amigurumi class in September!
Patty H. will be taking us all through making our very own cupcake (so cute!) I can’t wait to take this one myself because I want to be able to make clever little guys like Beethoven and Ben Franklin.

And Pugs (by the way, if you have a moment - help the pugs via the Chip In link below).

Also, you can now link your blog or website to your name on the Sew Crafty blog, thanks to the awesome peeps at Culture Pilot! Thanks Tim, Kara and Javier (and Mrs. Angie)!

How’s the weather up there? DIY aerial photography

Posted by Erin on Aug 18, 2008

Redwoods. The Empire State Building. Yao Ming. All super-tall, all super-awesome. But why should they have all the fun?

Photojojo has a fabulous DIY project for all you photographers out there. Learn to make your own sky-cam and master the art of aerial photography. (That would be the art of taking pictures from a very weird, very high angle - resulting in stunning images that inspire all your friend to ask “How’d you DO that?!”) Fun!

Amigurumi

Posted by Sarah on Aug 13, 2008

A-Mi-Ga-Wha? You might be reading this post just to figure out what that word means, well I’ll tell you: Amigurumi (a-mi-gu-ru-mi) literally means Knitted Stuffed Toy. You’ve seen this cute Japanese style crocheting (and knitting) of cute stuffed creatures around on the internet. Now learn how to make one for yourself.
