I love my dog Tex. It’s no secret that he’s the mac to my cheese - anyone who has been to Sew Crafty has seen my pug T-shirt and print. He’s such a little super dog! Which is why I love IttyBittiesForYou, who is currently making my little angel into a polymer clay superhero. Up up and away Tex!

Wii Crafting!

Posted by on Nov 25, 2008

I love my Wii - I love Guitar Hero, all the old Mario games you can get on the Virtual Console and oh how I love my Wii Fit! Confession: I’m a wuss. Ask anyone - ask Renee especially - if the temperature and weather are not just right, I punk out of exercise. And as someone who loves food, exercise is necessary!

I hate gyms and I can only be part of my fitness bootcamp during the milder months, so how can I stay in shape during the hotter months? Wii Fit! I like how excited my little Mii looks to be running, jumping and kicking butt at the aerobics - I can’t help but be excited too! Last night, I had so much fun at a Wii party that it got me all jazzed up about my little console at home - why have I ignored you so much lately? No more! I’m going to get back on my Wii Fit routine!

So back to the crafting, show some crafty love to the Wii enthusiast in your life this holiday season - check out some of the cool Wii crafts I found on the internets:

1. Wii Pillow: So cool! You can sleep on this and dream of beating your husband in tennis on Wii Sports (like that’s ever going to happen…)

2. Wii Controller Necklace: Yay Etsy - where else could I find this?

3. Wii Ornament: Yes - you can make a Wii ornament for your tree at home! It’s super easy too - cut out a rectangle of felt, round the edges and start gluing on buttons to look like the controller. When you’re done, sandwich a loop of ribbon between the back side of the felt and a piece of card stock - glue those puppies down and hang that bad boy on your tree when done!

Ok, enough typing - I’m going to start my Wii workout!

Pay it Forward

Posted by on Nov 19, 2008

Umm hmmm - awww yeah! It’s that time folks. Time for a crafty swap of awesomeness. Melissa I. - AKA Tanto Craft Studio - has posted a challenge and I am so totally accepting! She is making me some awesome craftiness and I am paying it forward. Patty also made me something this year, so I am double paying it forward - so here it goes:

The rules are simple:
I will send the first three people to leave a comment on this post a handmade gift within the next 365 days (that’s my kind of time frame!)
I am willing to post anywhere in the world, so don’t let that stop you commenting.

The catch is that you have to have a blog and be willing to do the same thing….

If you’ve got a blog come and join in the crafty fun, I promise Ill make something special! Leave me a comment and make sure to leave me a valid email address/link to your blog so that I can contact you for your address.

And there it is - comment, get a cool prize, pass it on. It’s a win all around!

PS: RAK means Random Act of Kindness.. Just in case you were wondering…
