Valentine’s Day Goodies

Posted by Sarah on Feb 03, 2009

Are you a procrastinator? Does Valentine’s Day sneak up on you each and every year? So you tell your friends and loves ones that you “Just aren’t celebrating that commercial holiday for political reasons” when really you just forgot? Well here’s your heads up - Valentine’s Day is in less than two weeks, time to plan something cool!

Here’s some of the best ideas on the web - everything here is cheap (FREE!), easy and Valentine’s Day themed!

1. Smittens: If you have knitting skills, check out this pattern for smittens - mittens you can wear while holding hands! I may sew some out of fleece myself and if I do, I’ll post a tutorial here! Thanks E. Blatz for the link!
2. Cute Cards: Zebras and Be Mine tear sheet!
3. Sweet Valentine’s Treats: Heart and Arrow made with Peeps, Teabag Wrappers and Tea Tags, and, if you are truly gifted in the kitchen, a box of chocolates made entirely of cake. Seriously - the whole freakin’ thing is cake!

Etsy Sunday is Back!

Posted by Sarah on Feb 01, 2009

Etsy Sunday is back after a few weeks of neglect - come to think of it, there is a lot of stuff in my home that is neglected. Glad I found Foundling, an Etsy seller that specialized is making things out of other things - inspiring!

She even sells tutorials on how to make Poppies from fabric scraps - super awesome!
