National Pie Day is Saturday!

Oh. My. Gosh. It’s almost National Pie Day - YESSS!! A Day when you can unabashedly eat the heck out of pies and no one can say boo about it! To celebrate, Oh my! Pocket Pies is going to be kicking it on 19th Street from 12 - 2, there will be a pie eating contest, M2 Gallery will be having a cool kids drawing contest and Sew Crafty (that’s us!) will be introducing a limited edition Drop-In Crafting project, the Pie Day Brooch! Join us in person and make your very own for $3 (which includes all materials and pre-cut pie shapes to choose from and, well, pie to snack on - yess!) or follow this easy tutorial and make one at home!

Crafting a Year Challenge!

Make 2010 your craftiest year ever and take the Sew Crafty Crafting a Year Challenge. Simply commit to crafting for an entire year and enter to win great monthly prizes and the grand prize – a $150 Sew Crafty gift card and crafty gift basket!


Not sure what to make? No problem!  We have plenty of tutorials, projects ideas and supplies to get you started. Not sure you can commit to crafting for an entire year? No biggie! Just enter our monthly contest whenever you can.

Rules

1. Send a photo of one new project each month to Alanna at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

2. Photos must be submitted by the fifth of each month. Ex. February 5 is the deadline for January submissions.

3. All submissions must be your own projects. (No pictures of Grandma’s quilt or Aunt Betty’s knit scarf).

4. Each month the submission with the most Facebook comments or “likes” wins! In December one grand prize winner will be announced and receive a $150 Sew Crafty gift card and a gift bag full of crafty goodies.

Note: You don’t have to be on Facebook to win - we will upload the photos and folks can vote on Facebook or on the blog with their comments!

Etsy Sunday - Sushi Booties!

Oh internet - how are you this awesome? Of all your treasures to behold, how did I ever stumble across my “go to” baby gift forever? Thanks to Facebook and my sister’s epic Etsy skills (thanks Devon!) I am now in the know about Sushi Booties, an Etsy seller specializing in all things sushi!

Need a costume for your dog? Bam. How about some baby booties for your sushi-obsessed friend? Boom.  They even have a rattle that looks like nunchucks - NUNCHUCKS!! Lord have mercy, I might buy everything in this shop before you even have a chance!

*Yes - those are fortune cookie slippers. Oh my gosh I want everything in this entire shop.
