They Blinded Me With Sciency Crafts!
I love the Houston Museum of Natural Science - the whole place is oozing with awesomeness from the second you walk in. Dinosaurs, butterflies, ancient civilizations - they have everything you want to do on a rainy day! Which brings me to their awesome blog, which was created by the very lovely and talented Erin B. (who you may remember as a guest poster from when i was pretending to be Irish this summer).

Today, one of the posts talks about making easy and cool ornaments using Borax and pipe cleaners (and parental guidance!) check it out!
Fabric Scrap Challenge!
If you’re anything like me, there are a TON of fabric scraps you have lying around the house just waiting to become something cool or get pitched in the trash. Have a cool idea for using fabric scraps? Make it and send in a picture to info @ sewcraftyhouston.com (make sure to take out the spaces) for you chance to win a $40 Sew Crafty gift certificate! We’ll pick the three coolest ideas and feature them on the blog for our readers to vote on, so take your time, take good pictures and get those fabric scrap masterpieces in by December 15!

Need some ideas to get you started? Check out these cool projects for some inspiration:
Etsy Sunday - IttyBittiesForYou
I love my dog Tex. It’s no secret that he’s the mac to my cheese - anyone who has been to Sew Crafty has seen my pug T-shirt and print. He’s such a little super dog! Which is why I love IttyBittiesForYou, who is currently making my little angel into a polymer clay superhero. Up up and away Tex!
