Meet Phyllis!
Crafters and Sewists, meet Phyllis B. - our newest sewing instructor! 
Phyllis is a master of her craft - making finely finished garments and sewing like there is no tomorrow! She is trained as a custom clothier and has continued her sewing education through a variety of master classes and workshops with some of the biggest names in the garment industry.
The best part is she is here to help you, our students, learn to make beautiful clothes that are so amazing you can wear them inside out! In our Pattern-O-Rama! The Intermediate Series for June, Phyllis will take our lucky students through making a simple swing jacket (using McCall’s M5276) using couture techniques to give it that extra special touch!
Don’t be scared - it’s not hard to do, according to Phyllis. You just need to know some tricks - and who better to learn them from than a lady with amazing skill like her!
Etsy Sunday - Moop!
What’s Moop? No I didn’t misspell mop, Moop is one of my favorite sellers on Etsy! They specialize in finely-crafted bags, wallets and other accessories - they are the originators of Etsy’s’ “It” bag, which is a large tote with top panels and pleats. It’s soooo freakin’ cute and really well made - a deadly combination when it comes to online shopping…
New Classes!
Howdy Crafters!
We have just added some new classes - Mommy and Me Craft Hour and Survival Sewing!
Mommy and Me Craft Hour is a great class for parents and kids that focuses on an easy project. Each session will feature two projects - one for the lil’ ones (3 - 5) and one for the bigger ones (ages 6/7 - 10).
Survival Sewing is for those who want to know how to fix a fallen hem or repair a ripped seam on their favorite khakis!
I hope you are having a great weekend - we had so much fun today in our classes that Saturday just flew by! Thanks to Leni, Kelly, Sofia and Renee for the Gocco awesomeness and all the fun making the super crafty felt totes!

Just in Case You Missed it - New Hours!
Hey hey crafty peeps!
This is just a reminder that starting June 3rd, Sew Crafty will be open for classes and:
Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday Noon - 5 p.m.
Monday 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. for Sewing Lounge/Open Studio Time and Gocco Lab time
We will be closed this Sunday (June 1) and Monday (June 2) - so if you want to drop by, come by the weekend of June 7th!

Since I’m a Geek…
Ok - I have a confession. I’m a geek. Everyone that knows me can stop going “Really? You don’t say?” in a sarcastic voice - this is for the other peeps!
Since I’m a geek and I love crafts, it stands to be reasoned that I did a high pitched squeal when I found this. Awwwwwww yeah! It’s all about the crafts that make my geeky little heart sing (yes I realize that is geeky to say - who cares? I’m out and proud!)
*Apparently, Craftster user Jessil is also getting her geek on - yay!
