I Heart Houston
Houston has some hidden gems that make the heat, mosquitoes and humidity worth it…
1. The Houston Arboretum: Natural beauty, great trails and it’s FREE!
2. Cricket’sCreamery and Cafe: Gelato like you wouldn’t believe - and I’ve been to Italy!
3. The Houston Museum of Natural Science: Those dinos had had a special place in my heat ever since I was a kid. That place is magical. Except for the gift shop - that is evil. There are too many cool things and my wallet hates that place…
4. El Rey: Dang good food.
5: You. Seriously - you guys are the best!
Honorable mentions: Mai’s, Culture Pilot, The Harp, Leon’s for Vinyl Ranch, Patronella’s (swoon), La Carafe.
Yep - this is a great city indeed; unlike Austin, you have to hunt for the unique and extraordinary, which I think is part of the fun! What’s your favorite part of Houston?

Etsy Sunday - HiAnnie Knickers
I’m in love with these awesome shorts! Sleek, good for the summer and a little quirky, they are about to become a mainstay of my wardrobe. On top of that, the construction is impeccable!
The only thing I’m scared about is looking shorter, which is why I will employ Tiffany McE’s method of wearing tall shoes. If you see me looking taller this summer in shorts, you’ll now know why…
Cooking as Craft!
Yes - it counts! Cooking is crafty in essence… especially when it’s creative! Maybe your favorite grilled cheese doesn’t fall into this category, but some of these are definitely craftastic!
Etsy Sunday - Moop!
What’s Moop? No I didn’t misspell mop, Moop is one of my favorite sellers on Etsy! They specialize in finely-crafted bags, wallets and other accessories - they are the originators of Etsy’s’ “It” bag, which is a large tote with top panels and pleats. It’s soooo freakin’ cute and really well made - a deadly combination when it comes to online shopping…
