On those pins - I’d just add to make SURE they are glass headed - NOT plastic. Quite a saving grace when attacked with an iron - on or NOT on purpose.
I’d also add some fusible web - strips. Great for ‘sticking’ something in place so it won’t move.
Hints from one of those ‘over 50’ sewers - having taught many (including children) over the years…
